The Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Library, in collaboration with the Harbin Calligraphy and Painting Academy, held a calligraphy and painting event in the Cultural Warm Corridor of the library (campus 1) on 23rd, April, 2026.

At the event, artists created works on site and chatted with teachers and students about brush-and-ink techniques and cultural meanings in art. Up close, everyone gained insights into the millennia-old cultural heritage in calligraphy and painting. This brush-and-ink gathering united Chinese cultural essence and campus sentiments. Teachers and students felt the warmth and power of traditional art as they watched the artists work. The event was more than just about appreciating art; it was about cultural inheritance.

The event bridged teachers/students with art masters, filling the campus with an artistic atmosphere. It revitalized tradition through interactions. Teachers and students cultivated humanistic feelings and boosted cultural confidence, ensuring the enduring charm of Chinese calligraphy and painting on campus.
