Regulations on the Use of Online Databases
In order to ensure the proper use of online databases, and to standardize usage behavior,all faculty and students are required to comply with the following regulations.
1. Batch downloading of complete magazine issues is not permitted.
2. Automated downloading software or robotic tools (such as NetAnt, Getright) for bulk downloading are prohibited.
3. Each user account is restricted to a maximum of 30 download operations per hour.
4. Unauthorized deployment of proxy servers by any entity or individual to facilitate external access to the university's full-text databases is strictly prohibited.
5. The Network Center, in coordination with the library, will trace violators of the above rules.Once confirmed, the following disciplinary actions shall be taken:
(1) The university shall restrict library database access privileges for the IP range assigned to the violator's affiliated department. A public notice will be posted on the campus intranet disclosing the violator's full name, affiliated unit, and details of the misconduct. In severe cases, the violator's campus network account will be revoked.
(2) The violator shall be held liable for all economic losses incurred thereby. Depending on the severity of the misconduct, the university shall impose financial penalties on both the IP user and the registered IP holder.
