Sci-tech Novelty Search

The Novelty Search Workshop of HIT is a novelty institution approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in January 2015. The Library of HIT boasts a rich collection of resources and has access to a vast and comprehensive range of online databases. These encompass various professional databases from both home and abroad, including SCI, EI, CPCI, Derwent Innovation (the full - text patent database), ScienceDirect (SD) Database, IEEE Xplore (IEL) Database, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), Wanfang Database, and more. Moreover, we have established an online connection with Dialog Corporation, a U.S.-based company standing as one of the earliest and largest providers of professional information retrieval systems globally, providing a strong resource guarantee for our service.


This Novelty Search Workstation serves both HIT and other entities. Over the years, it has completed thousands of novelty-searching projects. These projects cover a wide range of science and engineering research areas, including power engineering, electronics, computer science, automation, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, environmental science, energy, mechanical engineering, biology, civil engineering, etc. [Note: Medical projects are not accepted.]
